    Details

The yellow glue band is a powerful and long-lasting roll trap, designed for natural pest control both outdoors around trees and indoors in greenhouses.

Made from recyclable plastic, it is coated on both sides with a non-toxic, water-repellent adhesive that is resistant to heat and rain. It does not dry out, even at high temperatures.

Thanks to its bright yellow color, the band attracts a wide range of insects. Flying pests such as whiteflies, fruit flies, fungus gnats, adult thrips, leaf miners, winged aphids, and soil gnats land on the sticky surface and become trapped. Crawling insects, such as female horse chestnut leaf miners and female winter moths, are also stopped in their tracks as they climb the tree trunk where the glue band is placed.

    Advantages

    • Effective control of crawling and flying insects
    • Non-toxic, safe for gardens and greenhouses
    • Weather-resistant glue that doesn’t dry out
    • Double-sided sticky surface for maximum trapping
    • Recyclable material, environmentally friendly

    Dimensions

    • Length: 5 meters
    • Height: 30 cm
This height is essential: female horse chestnut leaf miners can jump over narrower bands.
    • The first meter is glue-free to prevent soiling the packaging.

    Outdoor use: around trees

Attach the band around the trunk to control the following insects:

    • Horse chestnut leaf miners (females) – climb the trunk to mate. The band effectively stops them.
    • Ants – they protect aphids from predators. Preventing their ascent helps restore the natural balance.
    • Female winter moths – crawl into trees in autumn to lay eggs. The band blocks their climb.

CAUTION: Not suitable for oak processionary caterpillars. These caterpillars can release irritating hairs when stressed if trapped, which is dangerous for humans and animals. Additionally, birds may be attracted to moths caught on the band, which can also be harmful to them.

    Tips for outdoor use

    • Place the band between 1 and 1.5 meters high on semi-standard and standard trees.
    • For low-stem trees: place the band just below the first branches. This prevents soiling from dust or splashing water.

Indoor use: in greenhouses or tunnels

The band can also be used in greenhouses to trap flying insects:

    • Insects entering from outside
    • Insects already present on crops, such as whiteflies, thrips, leaf miners, fungus gnats, winged aphids, etc.

The band only traps adult insects. To treat eggs and larvae on plants, it is recommended to introduce beneficial insects.

    Tips for greenhouse use

    • Hang the band approximately 60 cm above the plant canopy to minimize capture of beneficial insects.
    • Stretch the band horizontally between two bamboo stakes, securely fixed among the plants.
    • Consider plant growth: avoid placing the band too low initially, so you don’t need to reposition it later.

    Storage

Store the band at room temperature to make unrolling easier. In cold conditions, the adhesive may harden, making the band harder to use and less evenly applied.
