Simply an effective and eco-friendly solution to keep wasps at bay.
The Waspinator offers a simple, environmentally friendly way to prevent wasps from building nests nearby. By utilizing the territorial behavior of wasps, the Waspinator makes your patio, garden, or other outdoor spaces less attractive as nesting sites.
What is the Waspinator?
The Waspinator is a lightweight imitation wasp nest that mimics the appearance of an active nest. Many wasp species are territorial and avoid areas where they believe a nest already exists. This makes the Waspinator effective in discouraging nests in your immediate surroundings, without the need for chemicals or harmful pesticides.
The Waspinator is a fabric pouch with a drawstring and hanging loop. To make it look realistic, fill it with newspaper or similar materials. Then hang it in a visible spot in spring, before wasps choose a new nesting site.
How does the Waspinator work?
The Waspinator imitates a competing wasp nest and leverages the territorial instinct of wasps. Many species avoid areas where they think another colony is present to prevent conflicts. By hanging the Waspinator, you reduce the likelihood of wasps building a nest in your garden or patio. The Waspinator focuses on discouraging nests, helping you avoid permanent wasp nests in your immediate vicinity.
How to use the Waspinator?
Hang the Waspinator at the right time, in March or April, when wasps are still scouting for nesting locations:
- Fill it well with newspaper to create a realistic appearance.
- Close the Waspinator with the drawstring and tuck the ends inside.
- Hang it using the loop in a visible spot, such as under an umbrella, on a tree branch, or near a canopy.
Note: The Waspinator works preventively and cannot drive out existing nests. If a nest is already present within 5 meters, the wasps will remain active.
